Honesty, Integrity & Experience
Peter Hardan has a bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Florida International University – College of Engineering. He has been a licensed public adjuster since 2010 and has worked throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
From Peter Hardan:
A family member of mine was handling a water issue claim, and they happened to hire a public adjuster. The public adjuster did well for them. I didn’t know what
a public adjuster was at the time. Still, with my background in construction, growing up around it my entire life, and then going to university with a Bachelor of Science and construction management, I partnered that with my business and negotiation skills. I decided to become a licensed public adjuster. Upon doing that one of the first few claims that I handled and opened was that family friends claim, at the time you had a statute of limitations up to five years you could reopen it so I did and I got them paid a six-figure settlement more than what they already got initially. So i thought to myself hey i’m pretty good at this. And I love it. I never feel like it’s work; I always wake up Feeling it is another day to help someone get correctly paid by the insurance company. For the damages, how much they sustained, and the inconvenience those damages that they sustained had caused them and their families. I treat my $10,000 claims and clients the same way I treat my $10 million claims and clients.
Honestly, I got into it to help people. Through my negotiations and handling of claims with clients and their insurance companies, from hurricane destruction to remediating mold, I’ve built many relationships that have flourished into friendships. What can I say other than having a gift for gab and not taking no for an answer? I’m also very detail-oriented, so I don’t miss anything. I am human, but I tend to have a bit of OCD, which comes in very handy in my industry /career choice.
I know people just by their work ethic, but my work ethic is nonstop until I get the results that I wish and know are merited. I’ve lived the model of treating people as you want to be treated, so I treat my clients the way I would like to be treated in these property damage claims.
